The Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Makerere University Dr. Zhong Jianghua has this afternoon paid a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor Makerere University Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe at his office.. During his visit Dr. Zhong delivered gifts including the lunar cake as we gear towards the Mid-autumn Festival. The Vice Chancellor thanked Dr. Zhong for the gifts and the two discussed a wide range of issues in regards to fostering the teaching and learning of the Chinese Language and Culture at Makerere University. In his Tweet this afternoon the Vice Chancellor had this to say "The traditional Chinese festival is around the corner and I have received a lunar cake and other gifts from Dr. Zhong, the Director of the Confucius Institute at Makerere University."
